Alaska Bookshelf
Collection of Alaska-Inspired Titles
Visiting the National Park Service’s King Salmon Visitor Center is always a joy and comes a close second to picking up my fish check at the end of the season. Not only is it a good stop to pick up something last minute for the kids, they also carry a wide variety of books on fishing and Bristol Bay area history and archeology you will find nowhere else. A few decades of thumbing through their books and picking 3 or 4 has left me with a big library of salmon and Bristol Bay history books. I thought it would be nice to call out a few of these below as the books are hard to get but well worth searching out.
